MULTAN: A scene of the match between Emerson College and Bahauddin Zakariya University on Friday.

MULTAN: Government Emerson College beat Bahauddin Zakariya University of Multan in a nail-biting contest that saw both teams competing fiercely, displaying lot of passion to win a chance to represent their city in the next stage of Red Bull Campus Cricket.

The toss was won by Government Emerson College who decided to bat first and managed a total of 152 in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Bahauddin Zakariya University were bowled out for just 96, losing by 56 runs.

Asif Fawad from Govt Emerson College was declared Man of the Match for his fine 33 runs and one wicket.

In a country where talent is seen in action on every street, the fourth edition of Red Bull Campus Cricket will spread its wings to 17 cities covering 85 campuses. The campus cricket is a platform for young cricketers who have what it takes to rise.

The idea has been developed to showcase young cricketers’ talent by providing them with opportunities to play at regional, national and international levels.

15اپریل۔2015ء) محکمہ تعلیم پنجاب نے صوبہ بھر میں موسم گرما میں تعلیمی اداروں کے لئے نئے اوقات کار جاری کر دئیے ۔( جمعرات ) 16اپریل سے بوائز سکول صبح 7 بجکر 45منٹ پر جبکہ گرلز سکولز صبح ساڑھے سات بجے کھلا کریں گے اور باالترتیب بوائز سکولز 1بجکر 15منٹ پر جبکہ گرلز سکولز ایک بجے بند ہوا کریں گے۔جمعہ کے روز بوائز سکول 11.45 اورگرلز سکولز11.30 بجے بند ہوا کریں گے۔ یہ اوقات کار 15اکتوبر تک نافذ العمل رہیں گے۔

حکومت پنجاب نے سکوٹی بنانے کا کام چینی کمپنی کے سپرد کر دیا

لیپ ٹاپ ڈسٹری بیوشن اور سولر لیمپ کی فراہمی 
کے بعد حکومت پنجاب نے خواتین طلباء اور ملازمین کے لیے آسان اقساط پر سکوٹی فراہم کرنے کا  فیصلہ کیا ہے۔اس پروگرام کے تحت سب سے پہلے لاہور میں آزمائشی بنیادوں پر  سکوٹی دی جائیں گی۔ اس کے بعد اس  پراجیکٹ کا دائرہ کار پنجاب کے دوسرے اضلاع تک پھیلا دیا جائے گا۔ اس پراجیکٹ کا آغاز تو پچھلے سال مارچ 2014 میں کیا گیا تھا مگر  اس پر مزید کام اب ہو رہا ہے۔اس پراجیکٹ  کے لیے بنک آف پنجاب سے قرضہ لیا گیا ہے، قرض پر سود کی ادائیگی حکومت پنجاب کرے گی۔اس کے علاوہ 2016 کے ترقیاتی بجٹ سے بھی اس پراجیکٹ کے لیے رقم مختص کی جائے گی۔ 
ان سکوٹی کو چلانے کے لیے تربیت دینے کا کام بھی حکومت پنجاب کرے گی جبکہ یو ای ٹی اور ٹرانسپورٹ ڈیپارٹمنٹ کو ایسی سکوٹی ڈیزائن کرنے کی  ہدایت کی گئی ہے جسے خواتین آرام سے چلا سکیں۔ سکوٹی کے بنانے کا کام ایک چینی کمپنی کے سپرد کیا گیا ہے جو 50 سی سی کی سکوٹی 80 ہزار روپے میں فراہم کرے گی۔

GEC MULTAN: The executive committee of Emersonians has announced to work for the elevation of the Government Emerson College (GEC) as university.

Flanked by former director colleges Dr Hameed Raza Siddique, former MPA Mauvli Sultan Alam, GEC Principal Malik Abdul Jabbar, Emersionains General Secretary Fayyaz Tehsin told a news conference on Saturday that the GEC had a glorious history. He said it was already offering masters in 16 disciplines.

"The GEC has produced hundreds of doctors, engineers, judges, lawyers, politicians, teachers, officers, players, artists, journalists. It needs to be elevated as university," Tehsin said.

He said that the association (www.theemersonians.com) formed in December last was going to hold its elections on Nov 24.

Speaking his mind, GEC Principal Malik Abdul Jabbar said that the college had 67 acres of land which was enough for its elevation.

Established in 1920, the GEC has a prominent place in the public and private sector campuses of the area.

BISE Multan every year holds the FA and FSc part 1 and 2 exams in the month of May while issue the date sheet in April. BISE Multan the commanding body of Multan and its jurisdictive regions are bound to follow the rules and regulations of ministry of education. The board was set up in 1954 to hold the matriculation and intermediate examinations in all the concerned areas. The areas for which it holds the exams are Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara and Nankana Sahib. Before the establishment of BISE Multan all the matric and inter exams were commenced by the Punjab University Lahore. Afterwards with the increasing educational needs of students of Lahore and its linked regions it was necessary to set up a body which could handle all the educational matters of Lahore.
