Govt announces three-day Eid holidays 2015
ISLAMABAD: The government has announced Eid-ul-Adha holidays from September 24 to 26.
According to a notification issued by the interior ministry, the holiday would begin on September 24 (Thursday).
A day ago, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman had announced that Zil Hajj moon was not sighted, hence the Eid ul Azha would fall on September 25.The government has announced three days’ holiday, which practically would extend to four days, as the fourth day of the Eid is falling on Sunday (Sep 27).
In Saudi Arabia, the Eid ul Azha (the feast of sacrifice) will be observed on September 24th.
Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai, the head of non-government moon sighting body of Peshawar, had earlier announced that the Eid ul Azha will be celeberated on September 24.
