HEC will give B.Sc degree after completing 2 Years in BS
THE Higher Education Commission is known as a premier institute of Pakistan for delivering quality education, providing scholarships to students for the purpose of achieving higher education such as MPhil/PhD.
The HEC has introduced the four-year BS in all disciplines such as business administration, commerce, arts, science, and information technology in all universities.Soon after formulation of the policy, the commission issued a notification to the authorities concerned in which it was clearly mentioned that all BS (four-year) degrees are equivalent to the master’s in all disciplines on the basis of credit hours (124 to 136) and courses.
The four-year BS has more credit hours and subjects than those of the master’s (two-year BA/BSc + two-year MA/MSc). Unfortunately the National Bank is ignoring the candidates having BS (16 years of education). In November 2010, the NBP announced the posts of Management Trainee Officer, OG-II, for MCom/MBA/ MS (IT)/MPA/MA or equivalent degree-holders. A large number of students, including me, qualified the written test. But, some of them were not allowed to appear in the session of group discussion and the final interview for having a four-year BS degree. The question arises why HEC’s policies are not being followed by the NBP. Why there is lack of coordination between these two public organisations. The HEC should ensure that the NBP accepted BS degree-holders for employment.
HEC will give 2 years bechlor degree to those students who are unable to cotinue there BS.
Students who have arts subjects will got B.A degree and science subjects students will got B.Sc degree after 02 years of BS i.e four semesters.
