ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will open its SSC to PhD-level admissions for the spring semester 2016 in various disciplines from February 1. 

The last date for the admissions will be March 4, said a press release issued on Sunday. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui directed the Admission Department to provide maximum facilities to the applicants in taking the admission in their desired discipline as well as ensuring availability of admission forms at nearest places.

He also advised all Regional Directors to set up special camp at their offices for the student’s guidance. Necessary steps have already been taken to ensure transparency in the admissions, examination, results and books’ delivery process and complete it within a stipulated time-frame. A computerised and mobile messaging system has also been put in place to keep the students informed about the admissions and to attend their queries. According to Director Admissions Syed Ziaul Hasnain, computerised admission forms will soon be sent to all the continuing students.

LUMS NOP Scholarships 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Well candidates you are informed that you only can benefit by LUMS NOP programme if you meet the following eligibility points.

• Those Intermediate candidates who have pass Matric in 2014-2015
• Candidates who secure minimum 80% marks in Matric
• Those candidates who do not meets with their studies expenses or financially week candidates are only eligible for this programme

LUMS NOP Applying Procedure

Candidates the LUMS has divided NOP programme in three steps for Inter base, Merit base and Need base as follows.

• First Step: Those candidates who want to attempt BSc, BA, BS and BA-LLB exams starts in 2016-17 are required to conduct their application forms and apply for NOP 2016 programme.
• Second Step: Those candidates who want to apply on the bases of Merit or need will call for coaching classes for two months in July/ August, 2016. University will hold the expenses for these candidates.
• Step Three: Those candidates who successfully verified from their coaching classes will be registered with LUMS NOP Programme 2016. No test or any other fee will be charged from these selected candidates.
