Govt Emerson College Multan Cricket Team Win Cricket Tournament
Government Emerson College Multan won inter-collegiate cricket tournament 2015-16 by defeating Govt. Vehari College by 35 runs in the final match.
The final match was played between Govt. Emerson College Multan and Govt. College Vehari here on Tuesday under theauspices of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan.
Playing first, Govt. Emerson College scored 177 runs for the lost of six wickets in 20 overs. Shaukat Ali was top scorer for making 54 runs while Saif Ur Rehman made 45 runs, Saddam Hussain 29 runs and Ahsan Raza contributed 17 runs in the total. Wasim Khalid of Govt College Vehari took three wickets while Umair Khan and Mubashar took one wicket each.
Govt College Vehari failed to achieve the target as the team made 141 runs by losing six wickets in 20 overs.
Salman Sharif remained top scorer for making 61 runs while Aqeel Abbas made 25 runs and Wasim Shakir made 15 runs.
Wasim Zaffar of Govt Emerson College took three wickets while Abu Bakar Younis, Hamza Ahmed and Saif Ur Rehman took one wicket each. Director Colleges Multan Prof Mansoor Shah was the chief guest of the tournament. He distributed prizes among winner and runner up teams.
